The Stellenbosch Wine Route is one of the most popular throughout the world. And rightly so. With more than 200 wine and grape producers in the area, some of the best wines are produced.

The winery would select a few wines and pair this with a snack that best compliment the wine. Snacks generally include chocolate, biltong and other cured meats. With the popularity of the pairings, wineries have become creative, and some now include pairings with other sweets like cake, candy floss, ice cream and even pizza.
If you are looking for a little something different – there are also a few estates, that produce brandy, MCC and gin. Visiting a few estates, you would be able to taste more than just wine.
The outdoors has become a firm favourite for weekend activities. Nothing better than getting away from the rat race in the city and just breathing in the fresh air. Visiting Stellenbosch would be no different. There are several hiking trails in the area for the adrenaline rush, enjoying the mountain biking trails. Ride through the vineyards or dare the mountain trails with leaps and jumps.
Some farms also have horse riding trails and even quad bikes you can explore the estate with.
